Enhanced Learning Academy

Following a round of masterclasses with GEMS instrumental specialists in round 1, 10 students were selected to go through to Round 2, from where just 5 finalists were selected.

The 5 finalists were:

– Trinayan Krishnan – a pianist from GEMS World Academy
– Adam Al-Hashemi – a saxophonist from Jumeirah College
– Hiroko Hiwatashi – a pianist from Wellington International School
– Boglarka Kurucz – a vocalist fromWellington Academy, Silicon Oasis
– Tianze Ye – a pianist from Wellington Academy, Al Khail

The judges for the final were Ed Keeley, a trombonist and conductor, Tracy Bearcroft, an opera singer, and Carolyn Belsey-Morton, a pianist, music teacher and owner of the music shop, The Music Room.

The title of GEMS Young Musician of the Year 2017 was awarded to Trinayan Krishnan from GEMS World Academy.
